Sandra Chira

A selection of skirts created by Romanian designers in different lengths: mini, midi, maxi. They are made of leather, cotton, silk and polyester. Among the designers you can find Ioana Ciolacu, Lana Dumitru and Manokhi.
Sandra Chira exposes a new vision of the role of clothing in the process of expressing the individual identity. Clothes are not only the expression of global trends that determine manipulation of the masses by depersonalization. They become the expression of personality and a main mean that communicates the individual aspect of one’s identity. As a graduate of the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timisoara,  with a scholarship in Paris and a PhD in visual arts, Sandra Chira made her debut in 2011. Her projects have been presented in multiple national and international festivals and competitions, including Arts of Fashion (San Francisco) and Top Styl Designer (Brno, Czech Republic). The young romanian designer’s collections incorporate multiple aspects of identity, following a  complex path, from socio-cultural concepts, to materialization in aesthetic visions. The brand speculates elements with local identity and timeless value that meet consumer’s demand for personalization and  social individualization.
