PATRICIA VINCENT
Born and raised in Bucharest, Patricia Vincent took the chance in 2002 to permanently establish herself in Vienna where she studied fashion design and sewing techniques at HBLA Michelbeuern. She attended additional design and pattern construction classes at the Viennese Textile Guild as well completed an internship at a couture atelier. The year 2006 brought the opportunity to rent a small studio in Spittelberg, the main arts quarter of Vienna, where she started to define a personal style by putting in practice her creative ideas. From the beginning of her carrier, Patricia took part in various art and design projects such as the Design Pfad 2008, Designer Werkstatt (2009-2011), Vienna Fashion Week 2010, most important being the solo project Vincent&Nell (2008-2010), a location based for young, talented artists helping them to showcase and promote their work.
Vienna remains her main inspiration; it is a place where the past is respected, art is experimented in all forms, nature is preserved, world traditions are blended and the society encourages and respects any artistic approach.
In 2010, after unsuccessfully trying to find a cooperation with a handbag label similar to her collection’s design, Patricia decided to try making a couple of bags that complemented her fashion concept. The instant success and positive feedback at Vienna Fashion Week gave her the impulse to dare taking handbag making to a next level. In the following year she designed three different lines: Bourg, Jaz and Artisan.
Patricia Vincent's design sets an emphasis on a classic, clean and understated attitude with a twist of sophistication or unconventional style.
Approaching Molecule F came out of her wish to take part in a Romanian professional project including the highest regarded local designers and artists. The collaboration with Molecule F started in 2011 by exclusively designing various leather clutches with a slim, sleek signature characteristic.
